After he and the goddess had a brief exchange of words, he turned his gaze to the Fowl Demon and said;

"Actually, there are some things that I would like to discuss with Ms. Korra here in private."

He didn't need to add anything like "Can you excuse us?" or "You are excused." For him to understand.

Rising to his feet, he gave a bow and a "Your Majesty," before turning to leave.

Once the door was shut and it was just the two of them, he locked gazes with the Great Artificer again.

"You know what? Let's start over," he said. "When it is just the two of us, you need not address me with any titles. Just 'Solon' is fine."

A look of confusion graced the bookworm's features. She really could not wrap around 189-degree turn in attitude. In fact, she found the smirk on his face to be quite terrifying… even though it was actually quire dashing.
