Bab 97: Chapter 97: A New Year's Eve Dinner Born of a Sudden Whim

"New Year's is coming up, huh..." Chen Ze stood in the kitchen, silently looking at his phone.

It hadn't occurred to Chen Ze that today was New Year's Eve until he opened QQ and saw a bunch of people sending out red envelopes for the New Year, and only then did it dawn on him what day it was.

"Manager, what does 'New Year's' mean?" Betty asked curiously, peeking over. She didn't understand the magical device in Chen Ze's hand.

"It's... the new year. Tomorrow will be a new year." Chen Ze scratched his head. He wasn't really sure how to explain what New Year's was, especially since he would have to start from the origin of the celebration.

"People in your world are so strange. Isn't it just the new year?" Betty couldn't quite grasp it. In her memory, when a new year came, it just... came. What was the big deal?
