Bab 353: Beast man Tournament Pt.IV

It was a well-known fact in the empire that Swallow’s arrows were not magical, nor were they made of any special substance. Just pure wood and steel, yet no arrow packed as much as a punch as his. He was the Bullseye because his arrows stayed straight and true, penetrating any obstacle to reach their target.

Which is why the entire arena was speechless when his arrow stopped mid-air.

“W-What?”, A member of the audience muttered while staring at the sight of the arrow, frozen mid-air right before the wight. “How?”

“What’s that?”, Another person cried, pointing his finger at the arrow.

There was a weird glint. Like a reflection off a really crystalline substance. Others started to take notice of it as well.

It was like a shield made out of crystal. A shield so pure that none had noticed it being there for so long.
