Gorgo's boot came with the force of a runaway train, forcing Bastian to use all of his mental fortitude to stay limp as the other man kicked him in the gut.

The pain somewhat retrieved the pirate captain from the dissociative state. Now he had to make conscious efforts to stay as dead as he could be.
