Yanna's pheromones started leaking, causing her to feel hot. Vanessa, too, began to experience heavier breathing, but the overall coldness in the room kept them awake. Just as they were becoming immersed in each other's touch, they heard a knock on the bathroom door.
*knock* *knock*
"Yanna, is everything alright?" Melody asked.
Startled by the knock, Yanna immediately woke up and noticed that she was nearly biting Vanessa's gland. She bit her lower lip and slowly calmed herself down.
Yanna looked at Vanessa, who had misty eyes and a seductive smile but obviously didn't have much energy to talk anymore.
Blushing and feeling hot again, Yanna stood up and shifted her attention elsewhere.
"She's okay now," Yanna answered as she searched for a towel in the room.
Upon hearing Yanna's response, Melody entered the bathroom, glancing at Vanessa first before nodding to Yanna.
Yanna stepped out and let Melody take care of Vanessa, but she remained outside the bathroom just in case. While listening attentively, Yanna looked down and noticed a towel in front of her. She glanced up and saw Fiona smiling at her.
"It's cold. The doctor is already here. You should take a bath and change first," Fiona said.
"Thank you," Yanna began to reach for the towel, but Fiona didn't allow her to take it. Instead, Fiona personally placed the towel on Yanna's body.
Yanna was in shock and didn't know what to say. Her confusion amused Fiona.
"Follow me. Melody will take care of Vanessa anyway," Fiona said, holding Yanna's wrist to guide her to another room.
Yanna looked at Fiona, full of confusion, and then shook her head.
' Maybe she has already accepted me as a friend, so she treats me well ' Yanna thought to herself as an explanation for Fiona's behavior.
"Here are your clothes. You can change and come to the living room," Fiona instructed.
"Okay, thank you," Yanna replied.
"You're welcome," Fiona responded.
Fiona closed the door and went to help Melody.
"She's okay now. Let her rest for the time being," the doctor advised.
"Alright, thank you, Doc. Rin," Fiona expressed her gratitude.
"You're very much welcome, Lady Fiona. I will take my leave now," the doctor said.
"Thank you, Doc.," Yanna greeted as she saw him out.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that Vanessa was now fine. Vanessa had already fallen asleep after taking her medication. Although Yanna wanted to stay, as an Alpha, she couldn't.
"It's okay. She's sleeping now. There's no need to worry," Melody reassured Yanna, seeing her concern.
"Yeah," Yanna smiled reluctantly.
"Let's eat first. I've already asked someone to prepare it," Fiona invited them, realizing that they hadn't eaten anything.
Everyone took their seats when Melody's phone rang.
"It's Oliver," Melody informed Fiona and Yanna.
Melody put the phone on loudspeaker for everyone to hear before answering.
"Where are you?" Oliver asked with obvious anger in his voice.
"I... I already went home," Melody replied, acting like a fragile and harmless girl.
"You went out without my permission?! Didn't I tell you to just stay and wait for me?!" Oliver responded angrily.
"But... you were talking to Ms. Rodriguez... at that time..." Melody defended herself, her voice growing smaller and smaller. This was the first time she had heard Oliver speak to her with such anger.
Upon hearing her explanation, Oliver laughed, convinced that he had finally grasped the situation - Melody's feelings for him.
"Oh, I see. Just because I talked to her, you got jealous and are now playing games like this? Hahaha, Melody, do you know what happened to me tonight? I told you to standby, but you went out without saying anything to me! Don't act like this to me again because you're not Vanessa! If you hadn't left, maybe you could have stopped Vanessa from leaving and everything would have gone smoothly as I planned. Damn it! ," Oliver blamed everything on Melody.
" W-what plan?" Melody ask with confusion pretending she didn't understand
Oliver's plans were unfolding smoothly until a momentary lapse of attention caused him to lose sight of Vanessa. He frantically scanned the surroundings, unable to locate her. Even Melody, who was supposed to assist him, seemed to have disappeared. Frustration mounted as even the waiter who accidentally spilled drinks on him vanished from sight.
Oliver's anger intensified as he contemplated Vanessa's disappearance when all he needed to do was to bring Vanessa to his room. This only fueled his anger further.
In the midst of the chaos, Melody's tears reached Oliver's ears. Realizing that his anger had gotten the best of him, he swiftly regained his composure. He knew he still needed Melody for his plans, so an apology quickly formed on his lips.
"Melody, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lose my temper. I just miss you and wanted to spend tonight together. But you left me alone, and I couldn't help but worry. What if something happened to you?" Oliver explained in a gentler tone.
Hearing Oliver's feeble attempt to justify his behavior, Fiona and Yanna were filled with disdain. They saw right through his facade - a man who exhibited his true nature yet tried to feign innocence.
Melody wanted to unleash her anger and curse Oliver, but she restrained herself, acting cowardly and compliant instead.
"Oliver, I understand. I miss you too, and I know I should have asked for your permission first. It's my fault," Melody responded, choosing to appease him.
"That's right," Oliver agreed, trying to maintain the illusion of control, though his words carried a sense of desperation
" I'm sorry if I accidentally ruin your plan,"
" No, it's okay. I just want to talk to Vanessa about personal matters but she left when I'm not paying attention."
" Okay,"
Oliver hung up the phone when he knew he said something he shouldn't out of anger.
" Useless!"
---------------
Melody joined Fiona and Yanna for a meal and tacitly didn't talk about Oliver for a while, as they finished eating, Melody began to feel a sense of unease. She couldn't shake off the nagging fear that Oliver, might do something reckless or unpredictable.
With a heavy heart, Melody excused herself from the table and went on a walk. The cool night air provided a momentary relief from her worries. However, as she continued to ponder the situation, she knew it was necessary to make her deal with Yanna official. She needed assurance and a plan in place to protect herself from Oliver's potential actions.
Melody finally approached Yanna. They found a quiet corner and engaged in a serious conversation, discussing the details of their agreement. Yanna reassured Melody, understanding the situation.
