As Yanna entered the meeting room, a wave of familiarity washed over her. Unconsciously, she slipped into the role she had played countless times before in her previous life. Her posture straightened, her smile became polished, and her voice took on a confident tone. It was as if a switch had been flipped, and she effortlessly embodied the persona she had once portrayed when meeting new people.
She glanced at Vanessa, who sat in front of her, and could see the concern in her eyes. Yanna gave her a reassuring smile, silently conveying that she had everything under control.
Melody, Yanna's manager, leaned forward and spoke in a calm and confident tone, "I believe Yanna should make a brief, uplifting statement about her journey as many people right now wants to know what really happened to her before,"
Yanna nodded in agreement, "I want to give a statement since the truth already came out also to comfort my fans and assured them that I'm okay now,"
The executives listened attentively, they exchanged glances, silently acknowledging her words.
One of the executives spoke up, "Yanna, your idea is good. We believe it's important to support your vision and shed light on the darker side of the industry. However, we also need to consider the timing and delivery of your statement. We want to ensure that it doesn't overshadow your comeback and the projects you're currently working on."
Melody, who is watching and protective of Yanna, added, "I agree with the executives. We should carefully plan the timing and incorporate your statement in a way that showcases your growth and resilience. It should be an empowering message that leaves a lasting impact but not too exagerrated."
As the discussion continued, Vanessa remained outwardly composed, though her concern for Yanna was evident in the occasional furrowing of her brow. She wanted to embrace Yanna and take her home, but she knew it's not possible yet
Yanna noticed Vanessa's worried expression and caught her gaze. With a subtle wink, Yanna conveyed her gratitude and reassured Vanessa that she had the situation under control. It was a silent exchange of support and love, witnessed by Clide, Vanessa's cousin, who was also present in the room. He understands the unspoken connection between the two and which makes him roll his eyes, although he is happy for Vanessa but he just finds out that he hates them secretly flirting right in his presence.
Meanwhile, there were others in the room who discreetly observed Vanessa's presence, their curiosity piqued. They were unaware of Vanessa and Yanna's relationship and wondered why Vanessa was involved in the meeting. Speculation quietly circulated among them, but they remained respectful, knowing that the focus was on Yanna's comeback.
As the meeting progressed, the executives and Yanna discussed the best way to incorporate her statement into her comeback strategy as they want to take advantage of the opportunity to promote Yanna more. They brainstormed ideas, considering various events and platforms.
By the end of the meeting, a plan had started to take shape. Yanna felt a sigh of relief as now she only needs to think of her career with Vanessa and watch out for Oliver, however she believes that Oliver won't be a problem anymore as many things have changed since she came.
As they left the meeting room, Yanna and Vanessa exchanged a knowing glance. Yanna went out together with Melody leaving Vanessa and Clide alone as they also have something to talk about.
Yanna after getting in the car slowly relax, she close her eyes and rub her temple. Melody who saw it didn't start the car immediately, " Are you okay?" she asked
" Just a little tired," Yanna replied
" Then you rest first, we can go later," Melody said then she also relax herself, it took them 3 hours to finish the meeting which almost drained her, thankfully she prepared herself.
" En.. thank you,"
