Bab 173: Winning a war by losing

Bang!

The sound of breaking glass echoed in the air as several figures flew out of the window on the third floor of the building. They were Don Russo and his lieutenants, the leaders of the Russo crime family and ahead of them a masked figure followed them, holding a gun in his hand.

"Isn't that the Underworld Boss?" One of the Martinez hitmen exclaimed, recognizing the mask that had become a symbol of fear in the crime world.

"He chose to save them?" Another hitman wondered, feeling a chill down his spine.

"Damnit, gun them down!" The leader of the hitmen shouted, ordering his men to open fire at the falling group.

Ratatatata!

The sound of gunfire filled the air as bullets flew towards Don Russo and his lieutenants. They had no time to react, only to brace themselves for the inevitable impact. They had followed the masked man's instructions to jump out of the window, trusting him with their lives.
