Bab 98: Ninety-Eighth

Merwyn hummed as he walked merrily alongside her.

She hadn't invited him for the walk.

But in the end, fae couldn't be tamed, even when they were made familiars.

Nor when they were made into keys.

Merwyn did as he pleased, and at the moment that meant walking alongside her as she elected to explore the palace more.

She didn't really have a purpose - it didn't seem very likely she'd just randomly run into the...what was it?

Well, with a name like that it'd be a little bit funny to literally run into him, she supposed.

But while she had sort of just come across the other two keys by chance so far, she couldn't believe that was a reliable strategy.

And she had no way of telling even if she did. It wasn't like she recognized Merwyn being the fae key until he kissed her all on his own. And with Adrien...
