Bab 238: Curing a plague

Felling a Devourer inside its lair was a monumental achievement, even for the most experienced Dreamwalker. Xander alone would have stood no chance against this cunning Ethereal, but his companions had coordinated perfectly to bring the undead abomination to its knees.

Xander's decision to send his companions after the effigies while he faced the Devourer alone, had initially seemed like madness, but the risk had paid off. With its effigies destroyed, all they had to do was deal one killing blow to end the Ethereal's twisted existence.

Abigail still couldn't believe they had managed to bring down that ghoulish monstrosity. His heart was racing inside his chest, and he was trembling all over. Within the span of just twelve hours, he had fought and killed an Ankarog Patriarch and then defeated an adult Devourer inside its lair.
