Trust no one 

Bella's POV

The moment I found the note in my father's notebook, it was as though the walls were closing in on me. 

"Trust no one, not even the Ashers."

The words echoed in my mind like a warning bell, but they didn't explain everything. What exactly was my father's relationship with the Ashers? Why had he left them to work for Kevin? And more importantly, where was the rest of the file Jonathan had mentioned?  

I searched the old house again, desperate to find any clue that could complete the puzzle. But there was nothing. Dusty furniture and abandoned memories surrounded me, mocking my efforts. It was as if my father had left only fragments of a story, expecting me to piece them together without all the parts.
