We sat in Montana's packhouse around the kitchen bar table. The idea was to get some food in our system, but nobody could stomach anything thicker than water right now. I couldn't even stomach that much. Must be the aftershocks of surviving a certain end.

I could hardly believe any of it... everything seemed so far away.

The sun of this long day sank down the horizon outside the many windows behind Arthur's head. And the darkness that replaced it was more than welcomed... Predictable, comforting...
