Bab 202: New God

In the dimness of the night that enveloped Orario, the atmosphere of the city resembled a painting filled with the colors of life. The low and lively sounds of adventurers gathering in the cobblestone streets created a harmonious rhythm. The lights from small taverns emitted a warm glow, inviting passersby to linger for a moment. The enticing aroma of food, ranging from roasted meats to a variety of local dishes, filled the air, adding warmth to the chilly night.

In the heart of the city, a towering structure known as the Babel Tower loomed majestically, as if supporting the sky, casting a shadow that dominated the view. Faintly visible, its entrance was adorned with intricate carvings, seemingly hiding mysteries yet to be uncovered.

Babel was built to prevent monsters from the dungeon from escaping. Initially, its size was comparable to other buildings, but it was deliberately destroyed when the first Gods descended to Earth. Those Gods then rebuilt it to its current grandeur.

Behind its solid walls, there existed a world full of challenges and dangers, where adventurers tested their courage and skills. The rumbling sounds from within the Dungeon, interspersed with screams and laughter, illustrated the unquenchable spirit of adventure.

One by one, groups of adventurers stepped out of the gates, their faces filled with excitement and exhaustion. They brought back treasures, the fruits of their labor from perilous journeys in the darkness. Among them, some cheered, others shared stories, while some remained silent, their faces marked by depression and sorrow.

In a corner of the street, vendors shouted, offering their wares. Their voices echoed in unison, creating a lively symphony. From sparkling jewelry to sharp weapons, each item seemed to await its new owner. Not far from there, a craftsman displayed his creations, intricate and detailed handicrafts that caught the attention of passersby eager to take home a piece of Orario's magic.

As the night wore on, the atmosphere grew even more enchanting. The sky above was filled with twinkling stars, as if watching over every activity below. Some adventurers, after a long day of struggle, chose to gather in taverns where they could share stories and sip wine. The sounds of laughter and lively conversations echoed, creating a boisterous yet familiar atmosphere. Here, they found solace amid the challenges of adventure, which could lead to death if they were not careful.

As the adventurers enjoyed their time in the taverns after a day of exploring the Dungeon, a golden beam of light shot up into the sky outside the city, not far from Orario, catching their attention. Not only the adventurers were intrigued, but also the Gods watched the golden pillar with curiosity.

This phenomenon occurred because the pillar of light was a sign that a new God had descended to Genkai. It had been a long time since the last God came down, so they were eager to know who would arrive in Genkai this time.

.....

Moments earlier, after bidding farewell to his women, Noah confidently left the dimensional ship and stepped into a new world. The first thing that caught Noah's eye was a lush forest with towering trees, the sounds of various nocturnal creatures echoed, and the night sky was filled with shining stars, with silver moonlight filtering through the leaves.

Before Noah could examine his surroundings more closely, a golden light fell from the sky and struck him at an impossible speed, as if the light had intelligence and tracked Noah. Since his intuition sensed neither danger nor malicious intent, Noah allowed the light to envelop him, curious about what would happen.

As the light surrounded Noah, he felt that his divine power had been sealed, but what puzzled him was that the seal was very weak and he could release it whenever he wished. However, Noah did not rush to break the seal, as it posed no danger to him and might be something important in this world.

Ignoring the seal, Noah continued to observe his surroundings. In the distance, he saw a building or tower that soared into the sky, as if supporting the heavens themselves.

Seeing the tower, the previous seal, and the aura of many Gods he sensed from outside the world, Noah made a few guesses about this world, but he wasn't certain yet.

Without wasting time, Noah walked towards the building. Along the way, some wild beasts attacked, but Noah easily defeated them. Although his divinity and divine powers were sealed, Noah's physical strength and martial arts were still usable. Additionally, Aeternum, Noah's birth weapon, was not sealed, allowing him to retain some of his power. Aeternum, as a Blazer Device closely tied to Noah's soul, certainly could not be sealed by such a weak seal; moreover, the seal seemed to primarily target divine powers.

Exiting the forest, Noah gazed at the magnificent city before him, with towering walls made from an unknown material. Passersby of various races entered and exited through the city gates.

Relying on his strong learning ability and the blessing of thousands of languages that a Campione possesses, Noah quickly understood the language of this world through their conversations. From their discussions, Noah finally confirmed that this world was *Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka?* or Danmachi, where the Gods, bored with their lives in Tenkai, decided to descend to Genkai and enjoy everything about the lives of ordinary people in Genkai, granting Falna or blessings and creating Familia to facilitate their lives in Genkai.

"Good thing I didn't break that seal; otherwise, I might have been rejected by this world and it would have been difficult to enter again," Noah murmured, contemplating the previous seal.

"Familia? Interesting. Since I'm here, let's create the strongest Familia," Noah said, his eyes gleaming.

Of course, he would not act recklessly in this world, as he did not know how strong the gods of this world were. But he was confident that they were stronger than him. After all, it was unknown how long they had lived, perhaps tens of thousands of years, hundreds of thousands of years, or even millions of years.

Noah walked toward the city gate without queuing, knowing that even if he did, the guards would surely allow him in without delay. Although the Gods had sealed their powers and were no different from ordinary humans, their presence would make anyone in this world aware that they were Gods. Therefore, as Noah approached, the guards, even though they did not recognize him, immediately greeted him respectfully.

"Welcome, Kamisama," one of the guards said, raising his hand to his chest in a gesture of respect. The others followed suit, bowing their heads in gratitude.

Noah smiled lightly and nodded in greeting before stepping inside.

As Noah passed through the city gates, a magnificent city in medieval style lay before him.

The city of Orario seemed alive with a bustle and activity that never ceased. The cobblestone streets sparkled under the glow of colorful lamps, inviting anyone to explore every corner. Noah walked slowly, feeling the vibrancy of life that filled the air around him.

On his right and left, adventurers in various outfits and from different races passed by, carrying equipment and gold they had earned from selling their spoils from the Dungeon. Laughter, shouts, and warm conversations filled the night. Every tavern he passed offered tempting aromas of food, with the voices of the tavern keepers shouting out offers of local drinks and dishes.

Noah paused for a moment, observing a group of adventurers gathered at a tavern. They seemed close-knit, sharing stories and boasting about their recent adventures. Their smiles and laughter created a warm and friendly atmosphere.

As he walked further, Noah caught sight of the towering Babel Tower, its shadow stretching over the city. He made his way toward Babel Tower, the home of the Guild.

The Guild was an organization that managed the Familia in Orario and provided services to adventurers. The main building of the Guild was called Pantheon. This building was spacious, with tables for adventurers to speak with their advisors, and it also had an exchange area. There were also small meeting boxes where adventurers could speak one-on-one with their advisors without being overheard. Additionally, there was a library area. Most of the staff worked on the ground floor while high-ranking officials worked on the second floor.

Noah paused briefly at the entrance before entering without hesitation; his purpose for coming was to exchange some gold for Valis. Valis was the currency used in Genkai. Of course, he wouldn't exchange a large amount because, as a god who had just descended into Genkai, it would be improbable for him to have money. Exchanging a bit of gold for a few days' needs wouldn't cause a stir or attract unnecessary attention, as while gold was valuable, its worth was lower compared to other metals used for crafting weapons in this world.

Nothing particularly unusual happened during the currency exchange, except for the guild staff's surprise at a god personally exchanging money. However, he quickly recalled that there was indeed a god who had recently descended to Genkai. Upon realizing this, he promptly carried out his duties professionally.

After obtaining the money, Noah quickly rented a cheap inn in the northern part of Orario and spent his first night in this world.
