Bab 164: monkey in a cage?
Saitenguu, a shrine set amidst the lush green mountains and forests, the shrine itself displays traditional Japanese architecture, with curved roofs and intricate ornaments. The atmosphere around the shrine is peaceful, with sunlight filtering through the gaps in the trees, giving it a calm and sacred feel.
To the common man the shrine would look no different than any other shrine in Nikko, with many people coming and going to visit. But it is different for the Japanese magical world, specifically the four families, because behind its ordinary appearance, Saitenguu shrine is where the Monkey God or heretical god Sun Wukong in Chinese mythology is sealed. The Kuhoutsuka family has been the guardians of Sun Wukong's seal for generations.
Noah and his women along with Anshela walk along the path to Saitenguu shrine. As they enter the shrine, they are immediately greeted by Sayanomiya Kaoru and the leaders of the four other clans.
Amongst them, the most striking is a young girl with short brown hair and wearing a traditional Japanese shrine maiden uniform.
The girl looked at Noah and the others curiously and inquisitively, even though the Japanese history compilation committee had warned her not to act carelessly and impolitely in front of the King, but it seemed like the girl had forgotten it or she didn't care because of her cheerful personality.
The girl dressed as a Hime-miko was Mariya Hikari, a Hime-miko who possessed the power of Disaster Purification.
"My King, we have prepared all the necessary requirements to unseal Sun Wukong. We hope that the king will consider the safety of your people" Sayanomiya Kaoru in a male business suit stepped forward and said. She didn't mean to stop Noah, she just hoped that Noah could minimize the impact of the fight.
"I know, thank you for your hard work" Noah said softly and thanked them.
"No, king, it is our duty to serve you" Sayanomiya said even though in her heart she was grateful that Noah appreciated their hard work.
"Are you Mariya Hikari?" Noah asked softly to Mariya Hikari who was still looking at Noah curiously.
"That....my name is Mariya Hikari, nice to meet you, your highness" said Mariya Hikari trying to be formal as taught by the Japanese history compilation committee.
"No need to be formal, may I call you Hikari?" Noah asked the cheerful girl.
"Then, Vermilion-sama?" Hikari said hesitantly.
"Just call me Noah" said Noah while stroking Hikari's small head.
"Noah..." Hikari said cheerfully as she returned to her usual personality.
"Yes...by the way, Hikari, later I will ask for your help to unseal Sun Wukong." Noah said while continuing to stroke Hikari's hair.
"Leave it all to me!" Hikari said confidently while patting her chest.
Watching their interaction, the Japanese history compilation committee couldn't help but wonder if the seventh Campione was a lolicon.

A monkey was lying lazily on a pile of straw inside the Saitenguu shrine with various fruits around him. Even though he was a monkey, there was an unusual aura around him. The monkey was Sun Wukong who had been sealed in the Saitenguu cave, perhaps because he had been sealed and lost his arrogance as a heretic god, the monkey enjoyed his life here leisurely, various offerings would always be sent to him and there were several Hime-miko who would accompany him to play making the monkey even lazier and not look like a god.
The monkey opened one eye when he felt the presence of several people approaching him.
"Hey, are you guys going to play with me?" The monkey shouted cheerfully while jumping from his bed.
A few moments later, Noah and the others entered the room where the monkey was. The monkey was surprised to see Noah, a Campione.
"Are you here to kill and seize my authority too?, it's useless. You can't open the seal, besides don't bother, I'm enjoying my life here" the Monkey said to Noah without caring.
"It's a shame that Sun Wukong will degenerate into a circus monkey like you" Noah said sarcastically.
"I don't care, what does Sun Wukong have to do with me?, I'm just an ordinary Monkey" the Monkey said casually. Since being sealed and losing his identity as Sun Wukong, the monkey also lost his arrogance as a god and enjoyed the treatment given by the Saitenguu temple guards. But of course if the seal is opened then the monkey will also restore his pride as Sun Wukong.
Sealing not only seals power but also his memory and pride as a heretical god.
"Mmm... Snake?, have you prepared all the requirements to release the seal?" The monkey said in surprise when he realized Anshela's presence behind Noah. It wasn't that the monkey ignored him, but Noah's presence had covered Anshela's presence.
The monkey shrugged, looking indifferent. "I don't care about power or the past. The seal only makes me freer. Now I can enjoy life as an ordinary monkey without any burden."
Noah sneered, "Free? Or trapped in your own stupidity? When this seal is opened, you will feel all the arrogance you once had again... and that's when we will take you down."
The monkey laughed, a cheerful, echoing laugh. "Just try it."
