Bab 172: Ch. 171 Konohamaru

I looked at Naruto's picture and handed it back to the Hokage.
" What a doofus." I commented as I looked at Naruto.
The Hokage nodded in agreement.
" But C'mon!! It's kinda artistic, right?" Naruto spoke.
The hokage looked at Naruto.
" Reatake it."
" Whaaat!?" Naruto exclaimed.
I chuckled.
" With paint over your face, most people won't be able to recognize you as you need to identification to exit and enter the village."
" He's right. Even though he has never taken one." The Hokage glanced at me as I looked away.
" Whistle~ ~"
The Hokage looked back at Naruto.
" And where's your forehead protector?"
" I'm saving it for tomorrow's ceremony, I don't want to scratch it." Naruto explained.
" The registration book list all of shinobi of the village. and their abilities, this is a very important document, so what's with the face!?"
" Well, you see...I don't understand things like that..." Before Naruto could finish, he noticed the door kreekimg open to reveal a little kid.
" Fight me!! Old geezer!!" A little kid slid in as he held a shuriken.
" Oh no!! Not again!!" Ebisu ran in to see Konohamaru trip.
* Whack! *
" Owww!!" Konohamaru fell on his face.
I chuckled as I leaned back on the sofa.
" Damn it! Who set a trap?" konohamaru held his head.
" Are you alright? And there isn't a trap anywhere!" Ebisu fixed his sunglasses.
" Hey... I know you are the one who set the trap!!" Konohamaru shouted as Naruto gripped his collar.
" You tripped over your own feet!! You idiot!!"
" Hey Naruto! Let him go!! He's the Hokages grandson!!" Ebisu called out to Naruto as he pointed him and the Hokage.
Naruto stopped for a second before punching Konohamaru.
" You think I really give a damn? Idiot!!"
" Ouch!!"
" No way!!" Ebisu shouted in shock.
" Hahaha!!" I laughed as the Hokage looked at me before shaking his head.
" Haa, as amusing this is, I have some things to attend to...so if you guys excuse me." I got up from the sofa and flickered out of the room.
The Hokage waved me off as I left.
* Shuwa! *
I flickered outside of the Hokage Building as I started walking before stopping as I glanced at Kakashi.
" Taking your daily mission?" Kakashi asked as he was reading his book before pocketing it.
" Yup, feels weird not infiltrating or assassinating targets."
Kakashi nodded as we both started walking.
" Usually, these missions would be for the Anbu, but the Hokage is adamant on you being a genin. Though it's a matter of time before you're recruited into the Anbu." Kakashi spoke with his hands in his pocket.
" But I have to say..." Kakashi looked at my cat ears.
" Are those real?"
* Twitch *
I nodded.
" Yeah, got the idea of training Senjutsu, and since I'm being punished by wearing cat ears on my head for a year, I might as well do this." I shrugged as Kakashi nodded.
" And your sunglasses? I thought you loved wearing them?"
I glance at Kakashi.
" What's with the questions? You would either be reading your book or too lazy to talk."
Kakashi rubbed the back of his head.
" Sigh, it feels like it's been years since we last spoke together, and I feel like I didn't teach you much as your sensei." Kakshi slumped as he remembered my strength.
" I wouldn't be surprised if your strength is in the Jonin class."
" Well, it does feel like my utilizing of Jutsus are falling behind, especially since I focused on sneek attacks and kenjutsu. Maybe I could ask for help." I smiled at Kakashi, who nodded.
" Then, why not train after the mission." Kakashi spoke as we both went to find a cat named Chuckles.
A few months later, we found Chuckles, but it was a weird sight as Kakashi and I found a cat tavern where Cats drank milk and played cards, making bets with fishes.
" I'm not surprised." I had a blank look as I looked at Shiro drinking milk.
" Meow." Shiro responded as I grabbed him.
" Let's just find the cat." Kakashi dropped sweat at the amount of cats here.
I nodded as I lifted Shiro in front of us.
" Where's Chuckles?"
" Meow meow!!"
" Don't use that tone with me. Where's Chuckles!?" I interrogated Shiro as he didn't budge.
" This guy is tough." I looked back at Kakashi, and he deadpanned.
" Sigh, don't make me get mom." I looked through Shiro's sunglasses as I felt his fur stand.
" Meow!" He pointed at the back door to see an orange cat fleeing.
" After him!" I shouted as I held Shiro.
" Sigh!" Kakashi followed.
A few minutes later.
" Here's your cat, sir." I lifted Chuckles infant of his owner.
" Haha! you finally been caught chuckles!!" The owner grabbed Chuckles from me as he held him in his arms.
" Thank you once again, here for your help and this for Shiro as well." He handed me some of his fish from his shop as Shiro gratefully snatched them.
Me and Kakashi finished the mission as Kakshi began to teach of his usage of Jutsus as well as share ideas for new ones.
It felt great talking to Kakashi as we converse about which Jutsu is effective in situations and new variants of Jutsus.
" I call this! Lightning Blaze!"
I performed a jutsu with a combination of white lighting and white fire.
This flame annihilated the area in front of me except a single tree in the middle.
" Hoh? your control has grown considerably larger." Kakshi commented as he could still feel the heat.
I nodded.
" Yeah, though I'm working on jutsus that don't just annihilate everything in their path."
Kakashi nodded in understanding.
" Have you tried using water and wind?"
" Yeah, though it's not much as I only create a few."
" I see." Kakashi rubbed his chin.
" Though I managed to learn this."
I held up my arm, whichever turned to water.
" Hydrifilcation." Kakashi observed my arm.
" Have you tried to do the same with the other elements?"
" Ah." I felt so stupid as I didn't figure this out.
Instead of water, I changed it with fire only to fail.
" Sigh, figured. though it's a great idea, especially if you could do the same for the rest of the elements. You would be practically resistant to all five elements."
I nodded in agreement.
" It looks like it's getting dark. We should rest. I have a new squad assigned to me tomorrow." Kakashi got up as I followed him.
" Hey, my parents are back from their mission. Why not eat at our place?" I suggested as Kakashi looked up.
" Sure thing." He responded.
