(Dante POV)
After phasing out of the door, the first thing I saw was Index running about to collide with me.
"Kyaaa! Look out!" With a flustered voice, Index screamed in a panic.
Ignoring the little nun screaming, I gazed at the door of my dormitory neighbor and saw Touma.
With a friendly smile, I called out to him, "Hey, yo, Kamijou! Nice weather today, huh?"
After my awkward greeting, Index phased through my body before planting face down on the floor.
"Uuuuu that hurt!" Index said as she rubbed her little face.
"That…? Yamamoto how?!" With a surprised expression, Touma pointed his fingers at me and index sitting on the floor.
With a smirk of superiority, I ignored Touma's question before helping Index stand up.
"Are you ok sister?" Reaching out my hand, I pulled Index as I gazed at her outfit.
"I'm perfectly fine, thank you for your assistance. I also want to extend my apologies for dashing about in the corridor." With an apologetic voice, Index replied.
'No hood with a bunch of safety pins to hold her outfit and still polite like a nun should be. Mmm, probably the start of the plot time.' With a nod, I looked at the apologetic nun's face.
"It's fine sister, just be careful next time." With that reply, I gazed at Touma still pointing fingers at me.
"Kamijou you should definitely start running. We are running late for class." I said with a smirk before teleporting out for additional style points.
After two teleportations, I instantly appeared on my seat inside the classroom surprising the people inside the class.
'That should be my first real interaction with Touma, huh?' It might sound that I am saying the obvious but that isn't what I'm talking about.
The implant the chat gave for a member's identity is quite solid.
It is like before I reached this world, a real Dante Yamamoto is living in it.
The only thing is that the Dante before is like a living shell of nothingness only moving and doing the bare minimum to leave a mark on the world.
The neat part is that I inherit all its memories so I know stuff and not just lost.
It would be embarrassing to not even know where you live and who your classmates are so this is good.
After the short inner monologue, I gazed upon my seatmate, Aogami Pierce.
"Yo! Lolicon, nice weather today, ya?" With a smirk, I gazed at the suspected number 6.
"Whoa there, buddy! Feeling a bit talkative today, huh? But yeah, can't argue with you about the weather. It's positively fantastic! Perfect day for some loli doujinshi, don't you think?" With a mischievous smile, Aogami took out a doujinshi featuring a cover of a loli wearing skimpy underwear.
The current seating arrangement was, me seating at the protagonist seat with Touma's seat on my back and Pierce on my right, behind Pierce was Tsuchimikado who interrupted our conversation.
"Oya? Oya? Dantey's actually initiating a chat? What gives? Is the end near, will we hear the trumpet of the end soon? And what's with that flashy power? Teleportation, since when? Did our boy Dantey just hit the big leagues out of nowhere?" With a shit-eating grin, Tsuchimikado barraged me with words.
While not really friends, the Dante living on this world before at least make average contact with his classmates.
With the three idiots of sitting beside him they could at least be considered acquaintance but because of how casual they act it is not hard to approach them.
"I woke up, saw my own greatness, and thought, 'Well, isn't this a stroke of genius?' then bam. Suddenly, I'm here, basking in my own awesomeness. Feeling pretty darn good, so why not grace someone with my presence and let 'em in on my stellar achievements?" With a cocky tone, I decided to flex.
I mean, I wouldn't be here for too long, why not enjoy my life as someone great before leaving and returning to the sad dark room alone with no one to talk too.
"Whoa there, Dantey! Did you bonk your head on something this morning? Or maybe you forgot to your breakfast? Here, take this chocolate bar, you're not yourself when you're hungry, buddy!" With a playful reply, Tsuchimikado reached out to my hand handing me a choco bar.
"Yo, dude! Here, take this. It's one of my rare limited edition loli books. Might help you exorcise those demons you got goin' on. A loli a day keeps the demons away, I say." With a slightly reluctant tone, Aogami slowly reached out to a loli doujin underneath his desk before giving it to me.
After a few minutes of nonsensical banter, the door of the classroom opened as the cute loli, Komoe-sensei arrived on the front.
"Ah, before we begin today's lesson, Dante-kun, could you kindly enlighten us as to the reason behind your mysterious absence yesterday? And, might I inquire why my attempts at reaching you via phone have gone unanswered? It's a tad worrisome, you see. And let's not forget about those grades of yours, dear. They haven't exactly been soaring, have they?" With a not so smiling face, Komoe sensei gazed at me.
"Hey, Komoe-chan, brace yourself for this revelation—I had a total epiphany yesterday. I mean, I'm talking major enlightenment here. My brilliance overflowed, like, boom! Suddenly, my Personal Reality kicked in, and I was on a whole new level. So, don't think I've been ignoring your calls, Komoe-chan. I was just in this, uh, elevated state where responding to mere mortals wasn't really on my agenda, you dig?" With a shit-eating grin, I replied to our dear sensei.
'While I never liked school before, being in an Esper school with me having powers to boot makes me feel superior. With the fact that strong Espers usually display disturbing emotions, a side effect of having strong personal reality. So me acting this way should be the norm, and it fucking feels great.' With such thoughts, I teleported behind Komoe-sensei showing my powers.
"Firstly, Dante-kun, it's not appropriate to call your teacher by the -chan honorific, okay? Secondly, please return to your seat. After homeroom, kindly accompany me to the teacher's office, alright?" With another not-so-friendly smile, Komoe-chan made me return back to my seat.
