Bab 160: Unexpected News

"You are looking bright and smiling brighter" Alexis teased hitting Mia on her shoulder.  Since she took her impromptu break from work, she was finally going back and she was looking more radiant than ever.  "What's making you smile so bright?'

"Stop it, Lexis.  I am just glad to finally be back at work."

She hummed, "I think whatever is giving you joy starts with the letter D with a surname that starts with W."

Mia turned red and walked faster ahead of Alexis.  Alexis doubled her laughter drawing the passer-by's attention to herself.  "Come on; humor a single lady for a bit." She walked faster, catching up with Mia in no time.  They were going to finalize the termination of her contract with her agency.  Alexis had talked her into becoming an independent model and it seemed the best choice; it would save her from betrayal and Alexis really knew how to deal with this sort of thing.
