Bab 48: Am I the villain?

"This is embarrassing," Akira chuckled in between his tears, "I don't know why I'm crying. It's not like I'm sad or anything. I can't control it." 

"You're not sad," Zaelek confirmed as he wiped Akira's tears away, "You are relieved." 

"How do you know?" 

"I'm the Grim Reaper. Of course, I know." 

Akira couldn't help but chuckle as he heard this. 

"You are relieved that you were finally able to talk to someone about all of this. It had weighed you down all this time, has it not?" 

Akira gave a weak nod. 

"Did Asahi know about this?" 

Akira gulped as he shook his head and responded, "No, I didn't dare tell him. I didn't want to even know what he'd think of me if he knew. Till now, he still believes that everything I have achieved was thanks to my talent and hard work." 

"And what about him? How did he get a job at KS?"
