Bab 387: False Alarm

It took them twenty minutes to get to the hospital while breaking plenty of traffic rules but at this point, Jie didn't care at all. He had given his permission to the driver since all that mattered to him was Xu Mey and her safety.

While Xu Mey was pushed inside the hospital room, Jie had to wait outside. He was pacing back and forth anxiously while trying to peek inside the room. He couldn't hear a single thing from inside and it made him even more apprehensive and jittery.

Soon, the doctor came out and informed him, "Mr. Zhu, your wife is fine."

"She isn't in labor?" He asked apprehensively.

The female doctor smiled and shook her head. "No. Not just yet. This was a false alarm."

But Jie's face didn't ease up at all as he said, "But her due date has already passed two days ago. What's taking this long?"
