Frank Smith scoffed, "At your pace, you won't finish until after ten o'clock."

Jane drove him out, "Stop saying such unpleasant things."

Frank Smith didn't stay in the kitchen, he came out, opened the refrigerator, and took out two bottles of soda.

He spotted Sophia Jackson's figure on the living room sofa, holding an unopened bottle of soda, he walked over and handed it to her.

Sophia took it, "Thanks."

Frank Smith said, "You've said 'thank you' quite a lot today."

Sophia was holding the soda, her eyes downcast, "You don't like me, I am an outsider here."

Frank Smith took a sip of soda, looked up at her, "From what Jane told me, you came here without your parents knowing."

Sophia nodded, "Yes."

The atmosphere fell silent again for a few minutes.

The sound of frying came from the kitchen, and the aroma of food wafted out, Jane's cooking skills were truly amazing, the enticing smell was enough to whet one's appetite.
