Bab 67: A Strange Feeling

The midday sunlight filtered through the blue curtains in the Valois-owned hotel suite in Beverly Hills, the chosen venue for the wedding of the season. Natalie wasn't too far from the bridal suite on the same floor. She had been there the entire day and had just left Sophia with the makeup artist to put the finishing touches on the bride.

She felt good checking out her reflection in the mirror. The dress she chose wasn't the fancy gift she received from Alonso Senior through Juan in the morning, nor was it part of the new wardrobe her husband got her. Buying it was a bold choice she made on her way to the hotel because she admired it so much, spending every last dollar in her bank account on it and believing it was worth every penny.

"Are you the upgraded version of me?" she asked the reflection in the mirror.
