Bab 813: Four Pillars: Outside Help

Staring at the man standing in front of him with a dumbfounded expression, Valyr eventually regained his wits as he asked a question.

"What are you doing here?"

"Pretty sure it's more than obvious," replied Vaughn, letting out a slight chuckle. "But just in case, I've been waiting for you to come here."

"For what reason?" asked Valyr back, tilting his head in slight confusion. "Plus, shouldn't our next meeting be in the Gates of Transcendence?"

From the long conversation he and Vaughn had at the barren spot, Valyr was led to believe that their next conversation would continue once he had entered at the Gates of Transcendence.

After all, the man gave him the items and other prerequisites needed to enter the place.

Not only that, but the man had left him a couple statements that made him think that way, prompting him to think that he would only obtain the answers to his burning questions once he got there.
