Alex was not troubled because he received a damaged legacy weapon, but he was only concerned about finding the incredibly rare resources needed to repair a Mythical quality weapon and the result after the repair.

Alex knew that even the best Blacksmith Emperor wouldn't be able to repair a Mythical quality weapon to its former self because each weapon of such quality was more than just a magical piece of equipment.

It was known that if a Mythical quality weapon was damaged, even the blacksmith who forged it wouldn't be able to repair it to perfection, let alone some other Blacksmith who had no clue how the weapon was forged.
