Donovan and Kruel's eyes met for a second. The message was passed. 

"Then I shall be prepared to do everything in my hand to not let you take even an inch from me," Donovan said, his eyes as determined as ever.

He held Silja's hand and moved out.

Genie had just made sure that the little lamb Evie was sleeping comfortably when she heard urgent knocks on the door.

"Pack your things, Genevieve. We have to leave now. Hurry," Silja came inside the room. Her face filled with distress.
