"I have given you all the reasons and none of them seems to help changing your decision," Abrielle shook her head.

"Then there is nothing I can do," Silja said and stood up. 

"If there is nothing else, I would like to take my leave now, mother," Silja said still politely.

Abrielle didn't even spare her a glance and waved her hand.

Silja's lips set in a thin line and she moved her feet towards the exit.

But in her haste her leg hit the table leg and the vas on the table fell on the ground.

The silver vase fell on the floor with loud noises and rolled away on the ground.

Silja hurriedly turned around and ran to catch it. 

Silja reached it and bent down to pick it up.

But as soon as she leaned down a flower shaped pendant that she had kept under her dress fell out, hanging down her neck.
