Bab 20: A TROPHY SCAR

Embers fluttered in the air, casting a warm eerie glow across the desolate landscape which breathed flecks of dust across its surface. Charred remnants of a once vibrant forest stood like skeletal sentinels, their blackened limbs reaching skyward in a silent plea. The air was thick with the acrid scent of smoke, a suffocating blanket that seemed to cling to every surface.

Luciano glanced around while blinking in confusion, his undead heart beating out of count. He recognised his surroundings. The familiar heat of the darkness that blanketed this realm welcomed its prince back with open arms. He was back in the Underworld, home. How had he managed to return here? Was it the result of bleeding out and dying on the rooftop he occupied with the mortal?
