"Why did you drop your phone on the floor" Karan picked it for her. "Honestly, I forgot about your picnic or else, I won't have say yes to you."

"Could you not find another day?" Samira asked with tears in her eyes. 

"No, dear" He replied. "Priyanka chose Monday so we have to go on that day."

Samira stared her with at her with hatred and anger. She knew that Priyanka wanted to provoke her. No wonder she chose Monday of all days. 

"Monday is so sudden, my son" aunt Saraswati walked to where he stood.

"Pfft...mother. don't start please" murmured Karan. "You were the same people who wanted me to go on this honey moon, remember? Lakshmi even chose the venue for us."

"Yes, but we did not plan the date, remember?" Lakshmi reminded him.

"It doesn't matter. We are going by Monday" Karan told her. "Make preparations. Tell your friends in Hawaii that we will get there by Friday."
