Basic training for new recruits consists of five main components: formation and discipline education, which takes up the largest proportion, followed by weapon handling and shooting training, tactical training, military knowledge training, and physical fitness training.
Logically, formation and discipline training could be omitted since Gao Guang and Mike are PMC operatives and not soldiers. However, Thompson still included it in their regimen, and even increased its significance.
For the other components, Gao Guang learned everything with ease. Weapon handling was just about disassembling and cleaning guns, as well as shooting. Tactical training was useful but simple since it was just the basics for new recruits. As for military knowledge training, it was somewhat challenging for Mike, but for Gao Guang, he found it to be the easiest and most enjoyable part of the training. After all, for a military enthusiast, learning about military affairs was a pleasure.
