"Losing a mate is risky, because it makes them go berserk. They never think straight, and frankly have no reason to keep pushing anymore.

"It's even worse for the mates who lose their mates to death; they never rise up again and on most occasions, if they don't choose a second mate, they go crazy, and die on their own.
