Kaia was a calculative bastard and he hasn't gotten to where he was because he was the angel of them all. But the fact that he could be a direct threat to his woman, one that he was certain Rania had heard too, was making him wait to murder the young prince.

"No, Kai, don't pay much attention to him. He wants that," Rania said to Kaia just in time to stop the barbarian from going to her ex-mate.

She knew that none of the prisoners were happy with her, but she refused to feed their anger and the fact that they were so mad at her that they were waiting for a perfect opportunity, but Rania wasn't going to focus on that.
