CHAPTER 49: A Pretend

Sencha widened her eyes and alternately looked at the two men who looked like they were about to get killed and to kill someone. She didn't know that her father would hate her so much that even dared to point his sword at the Crown Prince of the empire! 

If one of the palace's people sees her father doing this, he would be labeled as traitor and more than that, he would be punished severely and not only him but everyone in the family will be beheaded publicly. She was scared that would happen to them so without thinking, she ran forward and spread her arms. 

With teary eyes, she embraced her father, saying, "Father, please don't kill my husband! If I did something wrong, sob, please punish me instead! Please lower your sword and punish me if I am in the wrong, sob, sniff, please! I'm begging you, father! Please stop!" 

Naxzi looked at her, in disbelief and gulped his saliva.
