When the fight progressed, Jean, who was having a mental breakdown, felt something like a barrier starting to break down in her mind.

Obviously, the X-Men could see that something wasn't normal with her, especially Scott, who had a crush on her. He asked worriedly, "Jean, what's happening to you? Are you alright?"

Jean put two fingers on her head and said, "Sorry, I'm just having a headache."

What none of the people present saw was some kind of flame flickering in her eyes; Jean just didn't tell them the truth for fear of worrying them more.

Stark, who had already had enough of mutants, especially since Onslaught was a mutant side villain, said, annoyed, "Hello, we know that you love each other, but can you see that it's not the right time to be romantic?"

This kind of enemy is really annoying; his psychic shield keeps repelling everything from Thor's hammer to Cyclops's optic blast.

And obviously, there are some rifts between the three teams of heroes, as they weren't cooperating like they should.

The man who could do it all day, Captain America, although exhausted and bloodied, said, "We can't let him win! Focus on what you do best! Thor, hit him from the right! Wolverine, you and I—"

Before he could finish, Onslaught's forcefield expanded, knocking everyone back with a massive telekinetic wave.

It's really like a child's play; the heroes were thrown into buildings and debris like a child throwing his toy.

Although some powerful individuals like Hulk or Thor resisted, the normal ones like Hawkeye or Black Widow didn't take it well.

"It seems that you have already reached your limits, but I must say that you are pretty weak compared to what I wished." It was Emma who made her appearance at this time.

Obviously, compared to their counterparts in many universes, the superheroes in this universe seem pretty weak, just a little stronger than their movie counterparts, while some reach the same level as in the comics.

Whether it's Onslaught, the superheroes, or the people watching from TV, they were surprised by the sudden appearance of Emma because none among them had noticed her before she spoke.

"Yeah, I think she is someone very powerful, at least not weaker than me in terms of psychic powers," Jean added, confirming Peter's feeling.

Onslaught was completely ignored by them because they could instinctively feel that the woman who appeared was stronger than he was.

Emma was obviously pleased by the fact that they recognized her power; who would want to be underestimated?

She then looked at Jean carefully, which sent a shiver through the latter before saying, "Are you insulting me by comparing yourself to someone who can't use all her power?"

Emma looked at Onslaught and said the classic Chinese young master line, "Are you courting death?"

Seeing how powerful she was and that she didn't seem to be on the same side as Onslaught, Captain America, still struggling to regain his footing, shouted, "Whatever your reason, help us stop him!"

Emma looked into the latter's determined eyes and thought, 'He truly has the profile to be a knight.'

She didn't reply to him but glanced at the other exhausted heroes before saying, "Maybe. But not for you. My interest lies elsewhere."

Her attention returned to Jean, who was frowning because of a sudden headache. She said, "You shouldn't let yourself be restricted; your potential isn't something that a simple mortal should interfere with."

Scott was worried, seeing the unknown woman interested in Jean and talking to her about something; his gut was telling him not to let her continue.

Before he could speak to Jean, through his visor, he saw something crimson surrounding her.

In fact, the thing surrounding her was fire, a fire so intense that it became crimson in Scott's visor.

"Huh, my head, it hurts so much." Jean, whose eyes were closed due to the headache she was feeling, obviously didn't see the fire around her.

[Alert! Alert!]

[Rising temperature detected, current rating 150°C... 250°C... now 300°C.]

[At this rate, Sir, we will reach critical levels in under a minute. I recommend a tactical withdrawal to avoid severe thermal damage.]

It was Tony Stark's AI, Jarvis, that was warning him about the rising temperature around Jean.

"Oh, now she would really become as hot as the sun." Tony couldn't help but make a little sarcasm despite the situation; at the same time, he was wondering where Jean gained flame power.

It's not something recorded in his database; judging by the rate the flame is rising, they may be cooked in about five seconds.
