"I have a 2 o'clock appointment..." Nick Fury looked at his watch, stood up, and at the same time, Phil Coulson and two others brought a silver box and placed it on the ground.
"What's this?" Tony Stark pointed to the box and asked.
"You can, right?" Nick Fury said.
"No, I can't," Tony Stark replied.
"You can figure it out, right?" Nick Fury said with an air of certainty.
"I don't even know what I'm supposed to figure out," Tony Stark not only lacked confidence, but also had no idea what Nick Fury was talking about.
"Agent Romanoff will continue to be undercover at Stark Industries," Nick Fury said as he put on his jacket, seemingly about to leave.
The scene changed, and Tony Stark opened the silver box. The first thing he took out was a blueprint for the Arc Reactor, with the signature "Vanco-Stark" on it, indicating that the Arc Reactor was not exclusively Howard Stark's creation.
Then Tony Stark pulled out a newspaper with a prominent headline that caught his eye: "Soviet Scientist Defects." There was no doubt that this Soviet scientist was "Anton Vanko."
Like a treasure hunter, Tony Stark rummaged through the box, and finally, he found a videotape and started playing it.
"Everything can be achieved through technology: a better life, a healthy body, and the possibility of maintaining world peace for the first time in human history..." The voice of Howard Stark echoed in the video.
In the video, Tony Stark listened and looked at the materials. The Tony Stark in the answering space, however, stared fixedly at the figure of Howard Stark.
For so many years, he had always believed that Howard Stark was cold, heartless, and didn't like him. He had always harbored resentment towards Howard Stark. But now, hearing Howard Stark's voice again after all these years, he realized that he had actually missed him.
"Tony, you're still young and don't understand yet, so I'll record this for you." In another segment of the video, Howard Stark said, "I've built all this for you. One day, you will realize that it represents not only human inventions, but also my life's achievement. This is the key to the future. I'm limited by the technology of this era, but one day you will understand all of this, and then you will change the world..."
When Howard Stark said this, the gaze of everyone in the answering space fell on Tony Stark.
Indeed, Tony Stark had changed the world. Howard Stark's prediction had come true!
"What are you all looking at me for? I'm a genius! Changing the world is inevitable!" Tony Stark shrugged indifferently, but the others could hear a hint of emotion in his voice.
"My greatest creation is..." Howard Stark's gaze softened. "You."
Tony Stark, who was usually so tough, couldn't hold back anymore. His eyes welled up with tears. He quickly turned away from the others and wiped the tears from the corner of his eyes.
The others in the answering space, Clint Barton, Phil Coulson, and even Thor, who was usually oblivious, tactfully acted as if they hadn't seen anything.
The scene changed again. Tony Stark stood in an office, eating strawberries. He was about to leave when his gaze fell on a three-dimensional model of an exposition in the corner of the wall.
"Stark, the solution should be here," Phil Coulson couldn't help but say, "Your father's video also showed the exposition model."
"It must be here," Tony Stark perked up, as this could potentially provide the solution to palladium poisoning. He observed intently, knowing that this model would guide him on how to solve the palladium poisoning.
"Jarvis, create a digital model. I need an interactive projection." In the video, Tony Stark brought the exposition model to the laboratory.
"The 1974 Stark Industries Expo..." Jarvis' magnetic voice sounded, and a pale blue light scanned over the exposition model, forming a pure light projection.
"How many buildings in total?" Tony Stark held up the projection with his hands, suspending it in mid-air.
"Does that include the Belgian waffle stand?"
"I was just asking. Show it to me." Tony Stark rotated and enlarged the projected image after Jarvis operated it. Then, an incredibly cool pattern appeared before everyone's eyes.
"These are atoms..." Tony Stark immediately noticed the secret within.
"What does this look like?" In the next moment, Tony Stark's words in the video confirmed Tony Stark's observation. "It looks a bit like atoms."
"The atomic nucleus should be here." In the video, Tony Stark placed his finger on a spherical structure and instructed Jarvis, "Highlight the globe."
The globe instantly enlarged, and Tony Stark pulled it with both hands, enlarging it further. He looked at it and said, "Get rid of the aisles, throw them all away."
"What are you trying to achieve?" Jarvis asked.
"I want to discover..." Tony Stark paused for a moment. "Um, invent a new element."
"Remove the landscapes, bushes, trees, parking lots, exits, entrances..." Tony Stark gave instructions while manipulating the projection. "Use the pavilions as the framework to form protons and neutrons."
When all the operations were completed, a virtual elemental framework in the shape of a sphere floated in the air.
"Is this the thinking of a supreme genius?" Phil Coulson stared in awe at the new element in the video. Was a new element really invented so easily?
Indeed, Tony Stark invented this new element because of what Howard Stark left behind. But to be able to discover the true essence within the chaotic and mixed variables of the exposition model, this was not something an ordinary person could achieve.
"Insane." Clint Barton was also shocked by Tony Stark's genius. He had witnessed the entire process of Tony Stark inventing the new element from beginning to end, and it completely subverted his understanding.
What did the pavilions, bushes, parking lots, and the like have to do with protons and neutrons? Was there any similarity at all? Why could Tony Stark understand it?
Was this brain a normal person's brain?
Even Thor, the proud god who rarely acknowledged others easily, had a different look in his eyes as he gazed at Tony Stark. He found Tony Stark annoying to some extent, but he couldn't deny that the man had real talent.
