Peter Parker leaped lightly onto the roof of a black woman's car.
He saw many people running on the road, abandoning their cars.
"What are you all running from?" he couldn't help but ask, "What—"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Before he could finish his sentence, Peter Parker saw on the elevated bridge that cars were being lifted up and then slammed back down as if something was moving on the ground.
"Oh, god." Peter Parker immediately donned his Spider-Man suit and reminded the black woman under his feet, "Ma'am, you better get out of the car."
"Everyone, get off the bridge!" Then, Peter Parker shouted loudly to the crowd.
In truth, there was no need for him to shout. Everyone's eyes weren't blind; with such commotion on the bridge, people were already running down.
Coincidentally, the black woman from MIT was unable to get out of the car in time; her seatbelt was trapping her!
Bang!
Then, a majestic mechanical claw descended from the sky and latched onto the ground.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Dr. Octopus advanced step by step using his mechanical arms, appearing in front of Peter Parker.
"Hello, Peter." Dr. Octopus greeted Peter Parker while wearing a pair of sunglasses.
"Hello?" Peter Parker, standing on the car's roof, was quite puzzled, "Do we know each other?"
"What did you do to my machines?" Dr. Octopus asked.
"I don't know what you're talking about, what machines?" Peter Parker inquired.
"My solar energy was drained." Dr. Octopus said.
"Listen, sir, could you stop wrecking cars for a moment?" Peter Parker suggested, "We can work together to retrieve your machines."
"Are you trying to trick me?" Dr. Octopus grabbed two cars with his mechanical arms and hurled them at Peter Parker.
Peter Parker dodged the first car, but the second car smacked him off the bridge.
Fortunately, Peter Parker reacted quickly, using his web to suspend the car beneath the bridge and prevent it from falling.
Then, like tearing apart a chicken leg, he easily tore open the car door, pulled out a couple and a small baby from the car, and placed them on the bridge.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
At this time, the MIT black woman was still banging on the car door. Even after so long, she still hadn't managed to escape from the car.
"It's okay, you're safe. Hurry and leave this place." Peter Parker said to the couple.
Just as he finished speaking, a mechanical arm grabbed him, wrapping around him like a snake.
"Do you think your flashy new suit can save you?" Dr. Octopus extended a mechanical arm, grabbing Peter Parker's head and smashing it against a car.
Swoosh!
Then, Dr. Octopus threw Peter Parker, who flew tens of meters away and crashed into a bus.
"I should have killed your girlfriend back then." Dr. Octopus's mechanical arms clawed at the ground as he walked towards Peter Parker.
It was this sentence that enraged Peter Parker.
You can hit him, but you can't hit his girl!
Crack!
Four mechanical arms suddenly shot out, breaking open the top of the bus. Peter Parker, like a chick breaking free from an eggshell, crawled out of the hole.
"What did you just say?" he asked angrily.
"It seems we have a rival." Dr. Octopus saw the tentacles behind Peter Parker and said to his mechanical arms.
Swoosh!
Peter Parker leapt over, engaging in a fierce close-quarter combat with Dr. Octopus.
"Peter, help!" Amidst the intense battle, cries for help came from the bridge.
It was the black woman who couldn't get out of her car.
Peter Parker didn't have time for Dr. Octopus; he jumped towards the black woman, but while in mid-air, Dr. Octopus grabbed him.
Dr. Octopus was ruthless; two mechanical arms grabbed Peter Parker, while another grabbed a helicopter in mid-air. He desperately hurled Peter Parker towards the rapidly spinning propeller of the helicopter.
Fortunately, Peter Parker was agile enough to break free from Dr. Octopus' mechanical arms at a crucial moment and swung to the side using his web.
Dr. Octopus grabbed a massive cement pipe from the road and hurled it towards Peter Parker. As Peter dodged, the cement pipe slammed into a car, causing a fiery explosion that flattened the car like a toy.
At this moment, the black woman's car was slowly sliding towards the edge of the bridge, on the verge of plummeting down.
Peter Parker was incredibly perceptive and had already noticed the situation. While entangled with Dr. Octopus, he sprinted towards the black woman.
"Don't worry, ma'am, I'm here!" Peter Parker shouted, raising his hand to shoot a web.
Bang!
However, before he could shoot the web, he was hit by Dr. Octopus with the massive cement pipe, sending him to the side.
"Peter!" The black woman let out a final scream as her car plunged down.
Swoosh!
At this critical moment, Peter Parker managed to dodge the car thrown by Dr. Octopus and successfully shot a web, grabbing onto the car.
But as he held onto the web with both hands, there was no place to leverage, and he was being pulled towards the edge of the bridge by the car.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Just as his entire body was about to leave the bridge's surface and fall, his four extra arms extended from his back, grabbing onto the bridge.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Below the bridge, a train was speeding by.
The black woman, suspended by the web in mid-air, watched as the train roared beneath her. She had a feeling of having narrowly escaped disaster.
If it weren't for Spider-Man grabbing her in time, she might have fallen onto the train, likely ending up as nothing more than debris.
Peter Parker suspended the web on the bridge and used another web to swing down, hanging upside down in front of the black woman.
"Take a deep breath, are you okay?" Peter Parker asked.
"No!" the black woman shouted.
Other than superheroes like Peter Parker, who could remain fine when trapped in a car, hanging beneath a bridge?
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Naturally, Dr. Octopus wasn't going to wait around. He used his mechanical arms to "walk" along the underside of the bridge and swiftly grabbed Peter Parker.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
First, he used his mechanical arms to pound Peter Parker fiercely, and then Dr. Octopus tore Peter Parker's suit apart.
An astonishing scene unfolded: the torn suit was actually directly integrated into Dr. Octopus' mechanical arms.
On the dark mechanical arms, a dash of red suddenly appeared.
This minor change unexpectedly increased the aesthetic value of the mechanical arms by a few notches.
"Nanotechnology." Dr. Octopus, a top scientist, immediately understood what had happened when he saw this. "You're even more formidable than I imagined, Peter. I underestimated you. But now, you're about to die."
Dr. Octopus glanced at his "new and improved" mechanical arms and then one arm suddenly lunged towards Peter Parker.
At this moment, Peter Parker's arms were restrained by one of Dr. Octopus' mechanical arms, leaving him upside down in mid-air with no ability to resist.
Perhaps he didn't want to die with his face covered; at that moment, the mask on his face disappeared, revealing his youthful face.
However, this action saved his life.
Dr. Octopus had always thought that the Spider-Man in front of him was the one who had destroyed his experiment. So, he mercilessly attacked from the start. But now that Spider-Man had revealed his face, he realized it was not the same person!
The faces of the two were completely different!
Boom!
As a result, the mechanical arm that was thrust out changed its direction forcefully. Instead of grabbing Peter Parker's head, it grabbed his chest.
"You're not Peter Parker." Dr. Octopus grabbed Peter Parker and removed his sunglasses.
"I'm really confused right now," Peter Parker said.
He truly was confused. This person suddenly appeared talking about machines, and he couldn't understand a word. Now, he was saying that he wasn't Peter Parker—just strange and confusing words.
If he wasn't Peter Parker, then who was Peter Parker?
"New device detected." At this moment, Peter Parker's suit system suddenly detected a new device.
Dr. Octopus had integrated part of Peter Parker's nanosuit into his mechanical arms, but it was a big mistake!
The mechanical arm's system was no match for the Spider suit's system!
He had integrated the Spider-Man suit, allowing the Spider-Man suit's system to control the mechanical arms!
"Adapting to new device." Peter Parker operated the panel on his arm a couple of times and successfully gained control over the mechanical arms.
Dr. Octopus had become Dr. Octopus because of these mechanical arms. Now that they were under Peter Parker's control, he was utterly bewildered.
"Don't listen to him, listen to me!" he told the mechanical arms.
But it was useless; the mechanical arms had all "betrayed" him.
As Peter Parker extended his hand, the mechanical arms followed suit.
As Peter Parker moved his fingers, the mechanical arm's claws moved as well.
After playing around for a bit, Peter Parker suddenly reached out. One of the mechanical arms extended quickly, grabbing the black woman's car.
Then the mechanical arm lifted the car onto the bridge and climbed onto the bridge itself.
"This is an example of wits outsmarting intelligence." Seeing this, Steve Rogers said, "If Dr. Octopus hadn't merged with the suit, he wouldn't have been defeated so
"Defeated?" Loki said, "He wouldn't have been defeated at all! If it weren't for the bug revealing his face, he'd be dead right now!"
"Speaking of which, Dr. Octopus really seems to be Spider-Man's nemesis," Scott Lang remarked, "That one Peter Parker got beaten badly, and our Peter Parker got beaten pretty badly too."
"That's because Dr. Octopus is a supervillain, while Peter is a superhero," Steve Rogers explained, "As villains, they don't care about civilians, and they're even willing to harm them to win. But Peter is different; he not only fights supervillains but also protects civilians. If it weren't for these factors that define a hero, Dr. Octopus wouldn't be a match for Peter."
"Talking about 'octopuses,' Tony, did you install those mechanical arms on Peter's suit because you saw Dr. Octopus?" Clint Barton asked.
"I think it's more because of spider legs," Tony Stark replied, "But you've reminded me; Dr. Octopus' octopus-like arms are indeed impressive. When I design Peter's suit in the future, I could consider integrating some features from his mechanical arms to enhance Peter's suit."
"Both are genius scientists, but Dr. Octopus' mechanical arms were only able to integrate a small part of Spider-Man's suit before being 'devoured' by Spider-Man's suit," Natasha Romanoff said, "In comparison, Tony's talents are truly astonishing. His technology directly overwhelmed Dr. Octopus."
"Natasha, I'm surprised it took you this long to realize something so obvious," Tony Stark said with a smug tone.
"Are you okay, ma'am?" In the scene, after Peter Parker managed to lift the black woman's car onto the bridge, he ripped off the car door using his web. "Hurry up; maybe you can still catch your flight."
"Peter, you're a hero," the black woman realized this obvious fact only now.
Sometimes, it's really hard to understand what these civilians are thinking. After all, Peter Parker was someone who had fought against Thanos, but just because a mysterious guest released a fake video framing him, everyone turned against him.
A hero who had once sacrificed his life to protect people was now treated like a pariah, facing hostility from all sides.
And it wasn't until he faced another crisis and Spider-Man stepped up again that people saw who the real hero was.
"I'll go to the admissions office and talk to your friends, I also want to talk to them about you," the black woman said.
"No, ma'am, that's not necessary," Peter Parker replied. He came here solely for his girlfriend MJ and his best friend Ned.
"I'll go talk to their friends about your friends and you," the black woman looked at Peter Parker and said, "Okay?"
"Really?" Peter Parker laughed.
"If you stop doing bad things, you might have a chance at MIT," the black woman said.
Poor Dr. Octopus, previously so defiant and causing chaos on the bridge, now had no choice but to stand there obediently.
It wasn't that he wanted to stand there willingly; it was because his mechanical tentacles behind him forced him to stay put.
As he saw Peter Parker approaching, he even attempted to wave his arms to attack Peter Parker.
"Until you stop trying to kill me, you're under my control. I control those tentacles on your back," Peter Parker reminded, "Now tell me who you are and what's going on..."
Before he could finish his sentence, a strange mechanical sound suddenly echoed, as if it was the roar of some kind of machinery.
Peter Parker immediately used the mechanical arms to restrain the still uncooperative Dr. Octopus and got his suit back on.
Clang!
A green bomb suddenly descended from the sky and landed on the bridge.
Boom!
An explosion erupted, and flames quickly engulfed the scene.
Another supervillain had entered the stage!
He was the first enemy of Spider-Man Peter Parker, the first supervillain to appear in the Spider-Man universe, and also the one who was about to commit a massive mistake in this world—Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin!
