Bab 102: So, This Is Goodbye

I took one last look at the Smith's mansion, standing near the grand gate with my bag in hand. Emotionless, I gazed at the imposing structure. To my left, the vehicle that would take me back to my family awaited.

Letting out a sigh, I whispered softly, "This is what I wanted. I will stand by it." My eyes shifted to the second floor, where Theo Smith's room was located. "So, this is goodbye, Theo," I murmured, turning my back on the mansion. Opening the car door, I climbed into the backseat.

Two men occupied the front seats—a driver and another guard. They accompanied me today, ensuring my safe journey back to the city.

Don Smith had made it clear that I needed to leave Brookville, if I wanted to see my family again. And that was exactly my plan—to escape Brookville reunites with Dad and Harold.
