Bab 158: Mistake in the Data

"You definitely sneaked him a hint or two!" Caleb declared, refusing to believe this turn of events. 

He stormed over to Carlo and snatched his stack of data, riffling through them frantically, his eyes desperately trying to find any hint of foul play. Matteo Montgomery must have written something in secret, or in code, to let Carlo know what was the right thing to do!

However, there didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary. Incensed, Caleb whirled around and snatched the notes of the poor intern who was sitting closest to him. He flipped through the both of them like a man deranged, looking for any differences in the figures given.

But no, the information provided was identical. The content was the same. Matteo had not slipped anything special inside the notes given to Carlo. Caleb slammed the papers back on the desk with a hearty scowl, his hands twitching as though he longed to squeeze Matteo's neck.
