Bab 197: It Could Be A Lie!

Emmeline's words echoed throughout the hall. She did not scream, but everyone heard her loud and clear. There was a moment of brief silence as they digested her words.

Then, all hell broke loose. The hall erupted into pandemonium, as though a horde of ravenous zombies had entered the hall. Screams of shock and dismay filled the air, and people began to stand up to get a closer look at Emmeline's supposed pregnancy. 

Amelia should have spoken up to control the crowd, but her mind had fizzled at Emmeline's words. She stared at her cousin in disbelief, then at Matteo. 

"Pregnant? You must be joking!"

"I would never joke about this," Emmeline said loud enough for everyone to hear. "If I wasn't a hundred percent sure, I would never dare to interrupt your wedding!"
