Bab 232: Dark Knight

Caleb's head finally veered to the door right as he heard the third bang. He frowned, sharply turning to see what the commotion was. 

Before he could ask the guards what was happening — considering how he had ordered them to not disturb at all costs — the door suddenly burst open. Or more accurately, it splintered into a hundred pieces as the body of one of the guards he had hired came soaring into the room.

"Fuck!" Caleb jumped in surprise, using one of the spare pillows to cover himself as he jumped off Amelia due to his shock.

The guard crashed through the door and against the wall, his head slumped forward before his entire body dropped to the floor in a heap. There wasn't even so much as a groan that came from him― just like that, the man was knocked out cold.
