Bab 11: The Pill

Matteo’s Pov

I stared at my reflection, adjusting the necktie repeatedly. For some reason, I couldn’t get it right, which frustrated me.

Deciding to remove it, I threw the useless tie on the floor and instead opened the button by the collar and adjusted it so it would fit perfectly with the coat without the annoying tie.

“Alpha,” Oliver’s voice came from behind. I watched his shadow on the floor and then caught his gaze on the mirror before me. He lowered his head while I took a deep breath and pocketed my hands.

“What is it?”

“The car is ready. We’ll leave upon your command.”

“I see.” I caught his worried gaze, causing my curiosity to be piqued. “Is something bothering you? Tell me.”

Oliver opened his mouth and then closed it.

“Forgive me, Alpha,” Oliver started. “It’s not my place.”

I spun to face him, narrowing my gaze.

“What is it?” I asked, raising my voice a little.

I watched him sigh before looking right into my eyes.
