Rachel still hadn't awoken, and Ariawyn continued to follow the path of the story that had been laid out for her. With much reluctance. She refused to drive closer to the hero then necessary.
The demon race had declared war on all the surrounding races. The beast kingdom are in shambles and near extinction being the closest to demon lands and only having very little to no help from the other races.
The merfolk, The elves, the dark elves, the dragon race, the druids, Dwarfs, all have been targeted by the demon race and have lost number upon numbers of people.
Some prideful and couldn't bother to ask for help of the other races, while others did, but faced rejection.
Finally it came time for human's to face their numbers dwindling. When a meeting was called for an alliance against the demons.
Ariawyn could not help but, scoff. Why, did it suddenly take humans being threatening for people to do something. Regardless and alliance was crafted and wars with collaborating races against the demons took place there are many battlefields around the world.
And with so many countries participating, it's much like a world war.
By now it had been little more then a half a year. To quickly did things escalate. The small weak hero had gotten stronger and his harem expanded with many women flocking for his attention.
"….." Ariawyn watched with a stale face, as the hero blushed from the teasing applied by her other female companions. Surely, none read the mood as they are in a war camp and the surrounding male soldiers are giving off looks of pity.
Sighing she left the meal tent, but, ran into the human princess. Who looked at her with a mocking gaze.
"Are you jealous? Sir Edward, isn't giving you any attention." She said. Ariawyn face was cold but inwardly she was disgusted with this attention-seeking human princess. The Third princess of the human country had always tried to one up her sisters and became a general in order to do so.
She received acclaim because she seemed to surpass the talents of the other princess. She had often been told by the eleven nobles who liked to gossip about human's idiotic endeavors. Including the gossip about the human country's three princess in some sort of competition with each other.
"….." Ariawyn said nothing as she ignored her and walked away. She placed no importance on someone who is taking their anger out someone else. She squeezed her bow suddenly when she got a glance at the forest, she froze. The trees weren't unsettled, and they terrified of an evil presence.
She looked back for a moment at the lively tent behind her. Before going into the forest alone. Listening to the whisperers of the trees she headed towards the direction that was most disturbed.
"ah, now, isn't this a familiar face."
With shock, Ariawyn nearly didn't doge the attack as a blast of dark energy went her way. She got her bow ready and shot back without hesitation. The demon King was born to the same generation as her. With her only being a year older.
In the best the Demon's Kings Father and her Father where good Friends, best friends even. So, to say the demon king and Ariawyn knew each, they were not childhood friends but acquaintances due to their parents.
Ariawyn relaxed a little, he didn't come to fight. "What reason do you have for starting this war, Xeron?" her eyes sharpened. "I doubt its was due to my father's affair with your mother."
He shrugged his shoulder. "Of course not, I just don't like the other races. And you know as well as I do, I only attacked the elves that came onto my territory. Much like what you are doing."
"That's not a reason. Besides you hate the other races, but, that never let you go on a full on massacre on them. Did the war present opportunity to make them surfer, yes. But, definitely not a reason."
"Ah, Old friend that make's me a bit happy,"
For a moment she thought of something. "Does...Does your race also have a guarding founder. One in which is necessary for your races survival."
She watched Xeron's face grow a little surprised, but, somewhat happy. "I see, the elves to."
[I see, that makes sense]
"How sad, it seems your fate is also controlled." She said bitterly.
"Such an understanding expression. It seems you also have a similar fate." He continued his friendly smile before disappearing. The forest grew calm.
