Bab 187: "Why do you have to do this?"

"Hi, good morning." 

Mila greeted the company's HR. She has to report to them since she's been away for a whole week with the excuse of being traumatized by the assassination incident, and, of course, she can tell them about her gunshot wound.

Also, Mila could guess that there must be bad news for her as the HR assistant's expression differed from her usual bright approach. She tried to hide her worry and waited for whatever the bad news was.

It's not just HR acting strangely around her; her entire team is avoiding her.

This situation is something she expected. 

People might wonder why she would want to go back to a job that almost harms her life.

Unbeknownst to them, Mila had no choice but to return because she didn't have any means of income other than this company. It would be harder to find a new job because of how her face is posted everywhere on the internet.
