They are emitting an incredible form of energy that is not similar to Mana or Astral Energy at all… Their power is coming from a mysterious source from their bodies and he can feel that it is being concentrated on their forehead.

The net made of the black energy surrounded him but he decided not to dodge to see what it will do to his body. 

Though he's unaware of what it could do to him, he's completely unafraid to face it. After all, this is the first time he had seen such power and he wanted to experience it as much as possible.
