Bab 286: THE READER

They got to a little cottage in the outskirts of the town, it was surrounded by mostly palm trees. The environment was peaceful and calm. The carriage stopped so that Magdalene and Lucas could get out. She walked beside him scrutinizing the place carefully. What cut Magdalene attention was the owl on the roof. An owl during day?

"This place is strange" She commented.

"It should be" Lucas replied. They got to the front door and Lucas knocked twice but they were met with total silence.

"Are you sure there's anyone in. It doesn't seem so" She said barely above a whisper.

"There is Maggie" He replied.

Magdalene wondered why he still wasn't knocking but she waited just like he did letting her eyes wander more.
