"It's not my decision, Yuri." I sighed. "It wasn't easy, you know. Especially when I met Faith and learned that she stopped talking when Alex died. Sometimes, we have to make hard decisions to protect the people we love."

Yuri's eyes were laser-focused on the road. The only light illuminating the dark road was the headlights of his Audi R8.

Seeing first hand how he worked hard to fill in the missing piece in their family with the loss of Alex opened my eyes to the gravity of our mistake. We hurt him. I hurt him by hiding the truth.

"Ace told me about him when he held me captive" that had me frozen on my seat, wide-eyed. "He told me everything between you and him changed because of my brother."
