Bab 92: Andi's past

~still ten years ago~

The river brought me to the forest and I have to run three miles to reach Isiah's cabin. I ran nonstop and my feet are going numb from the pain. Mom's face is so clear in my mind. The men who took her punched her in the gut at the balcony, they didn't see me because they were so busy hurting her.

I memorized their faces and I will kill them because they hurt Mom.

It was midnight when I arrived at Isiah's front door. I lifted my pulped arms to knock on his door, once and I waited for him to open. He did after two minutes and my body gave out.

I don't know how long I was out but it was already bright outside when I opened my eyes. Everywhere felt awfully painful when I tried to push myself up.

''Andi'' Isiah's voice reminded me of why I was feeling pain. Memories of the men at our house and Mom being captured flooded in my head.

''Mom'' I spoke, my mouth felt dry, it hurts to even utter a single word.
