Bab 78: Competition in Full Swing

The competition was now in full swing. 

I didn't have much time to dwell on the peculiar timer next to Number 81's fight as the next rounds came swiftly. 

My first opponent in the top 128 was a tall, lanky guy with a buzz cut. His reach was impressive, but he lacked the strength behind his punches. As soon as the bell rang, he lunged at me with a series of wild swings.

I dodged them easily, sidestepped, and landed a swift, powerful jab to his midsection, followed by an uppercut that sent him sprawling to the ground.

The fight was over in less than five seconds.

In the top 64, I faced a stocky, muscular man covered in tattoos. He had a fierce look in his eyes. Despite his intimidating appearance, his movements were slow and predictable. We circled each other for a moment before he threw a heavy right hook.

I dove under it and countered with a flurry of quick punches to his ribs and jaw. I didn't even use much of my energy.
