"And why are we back to my house?" Maya helplessly questioned since she was being princess-carried by Yuuta.

"Sorry for the inconvenience, Maya, I wasn't thinking straight." Yuuta promptly answered, heading inside the house and gently placing her on the bed. She bashfully turned her head to the side, averting her gaze from Yuuta. "I thought that running away from this place would be a good idea but as it turned out, the whole country is under attack."

"What?!" Maya's irises dilated in shock. "Then, what do we do now? And also you— " Maya bit her lips. She wanted to ask Yuuta a plethora of questions but she knew it would just waste some time.
