Xander's shock was imminent. As quickly as it came, he relaxed his nerves and let her do what she wanted.

Regardless, his mate wasn't planning on losing. Trailing soft kisses on his lips, Jade's fingers slid down his cheek to his neck while the other hand gently caressed his left cheek. 

His breathing hitched, his nostrils flaring a little when her soft, sweet scent assaulted his nostrils and he gasped.
