Corey, before carrying Claire and tossing her over his shoulder knew it wasn't going to be an easy task to take her successfully into her car. Why was he doing this in the first place? He was here to enjoy all that was his and make his parents suffer and get justice for his uncle who raised him with the same hatred for his family and all that his uncle explained about his parents and how they treated him broke him and he vowed to get justice for his uncle and make himself enjoy what they took away from him.
Life wasn't meant to be peaceful, it was a journey and his journey was to make sure his parents suffer for what they did to him. He had been enduring their presence and how they touch him as if he was still that eight years old child he was back then.
His eyes weren't opened then but now, now, he knew what to do and how to go with it.
"Let me down, I don't feel comfortable!!" Now this girl's voice was causing chaos in his head as he was fighting with his gut to hit her but he couldn't win his gut, she was too cute to be hit.
"If you don't keep quiet and stay..." He gritted his teeth because she was struggling to come down and face him. Why would he carry her like a sack of flour? How dare he treat a queen like this?!! "... still, you are being so difficult!" He finally hit her on her butt which he didn't consider as something wrong but she, Claire did. She felt suddenly downgraded.
"How dare you?!" She yelled even when everything was spinning in her head, she didn't even know where she was heading to. "How dare you touch my butt?!" She hit his back with her fists and he had to put her down.
When she faced him, he hit her head with his fist as if knocking on a door.
"You are acting just like a thug," he complained.
"Why would you hit me?" Her tone was brittle as she grimaced her face and rubbed her head with her hand. "Don't you know his painful it is?" Her tears began to fall already.
"A-a-are you crying?" He was surprised. "Why would you cry? It wasn't even painful," he tilted his head to look at her face as she was bending her head and wiping her face with the back of her hand. "Look at me, Claire. What's wrong with you?" He placed his hand under her chin. Claire wasn't this difficult to talk to and she took care of him in the hospital. She was the only person that spent more time with him when he was low so her behaving this way must have a reason.
She lifted her head and looked him in the eyes before looking away as if telling herself she shouldn't give up.
"I was told to take you home, so come with me," he took her hand but she jerked it off and began to stutter away to where she thought her car was.
Corey was damn exhausted, was this what the day was supposed to be like? After he left the hospital, his parents dropped him in his brother's house which was his house now and he had begun to have access to everything in the house just some things like his money and so. That was going to be a very difficult thing because he didn't know how his brother sign, his fingerprints were different and all.
But everything had been planned before he and his uncle decided to take a step, the plot of how to get into the house and take over everything had been planned carefully and smartly. So his fingerprint had been fabricated to be like his brothers and everything his brother had access to was now his but there are still a few faults.
Corey followed Claire and watched how she managed to walk in those high heels, it must be hurting her by now and he saw himself going to her the moment he noticed it but soon he asked himself what was going on with him.
Corey might seem evil to his brother and family but wasn't a bad person to people who hadn't offended him or to people he mentally didn't like. An example was those pals of his brother, Claire's parents, and his brother's driver. Those were people he wouldn't hesitate to kill but Claire was free from his 'people I don't like' list but she was a woman, a man would be a different case.
Claire was related to his family so he should hate her just as much. But he just couldn't, he couldn't push her away, she had been fun to be with and annoying and she hadn't gotten on his bad side yet even when she had been so aggressive throughout today.
"Hey," he ran to her the moment she fell.
"Leave me alone, I'm not begging for your love or attention and I don't need you to love me..." She looked at him as she stumbled to her feet sluggishly. "...and I don't love you either, you got it wrong," she glared at him and went forward to her car but couldn't open the door so she stood there, hitting the car with her legs.
So that was why she was so upset with him, because of what he said to her that day in the hospital. That was why she didn't show up on the day he got discharged, and why she never cared.
"Come here," he took her hand to lead her to the passenger seat but she acted just as he expected. "You have to listen to me and stop being so hard, do you think I'll be here if I didn't care? You slapped me and made me pass through pain just because of the childish grudge you have against me, just get in the car. I'll drive you home, stop being so difficult and proving how useless you are as he said!" His face wasn't friendly when he let those words out to her.
Claire was too shocked and broken so when he pushed her to the passenger seat, she obediently entered the car while he ran to the driver's seat. With that, he settled in and glanced at her to see her staring into space like a lunatic. He shrugged it off, he should have just scolded her to get her to cooperate all along. He started the car and drove off.
