Evelyn's tone had turned sharp.  "First, do not call Alexander as Alex. And secondly, do not talk in the tone of familiarity."

Mia's smile slipped from Evelyn's tone. "I never …"

"Please restrain from calling on this number. I would like your whole family to keep a distance from Alexander. I do not like Alexander getting close to your family."

"I hope you don't take it to heart."

Evelyn hung up the phone and looked around the room. Everyone was looking at her with wide eyes.

"What?" Evelyn raised her eyebrows in question.

"Nothing. I just love you." Selena said with a smile, but soon got a dead stare from Alexander.

"Okay, so what now," Evelyn said as she looked at Alexander. Her eyes showed that she trusted Clara's words.

"I don't know." Alexander knew that Clara's words were not true. "Clara, what do you think?"
