Bab 73: 073 - From the ashes

Daemon smiled after being greeted with the sight of Evelyn in casual wear when he raised his head to the noise of the bedroom door getting opened. It was different from the sight of her in sleepwear like the first time he came here, and it also gave a different feel compared to the times he saw her in office wear.

The first had her look unguarded and a bit messy, though natural. The second had her look formal, or semi-formal, and even though that also had its own appeal, seeing her in casual wear made him comfortable in a certain way.

He ignored the look Dinaia was throwing his way and moved his focus back to the set he was putting together with his son.

"Sweetie, how was your day with aunt Dinaia?"

Evelyn's voice distracted Jason, but the latter seemed to have been waiting for the question. He answered without raising his head:

"It was boring. She didn't take me to play."
